Our Mission

The Holiday Homes Tour Committee is comprised of community volunteers. We strive to include homes that represent Herndon's diverse cultural backgrounds, period aesthetics, and architectural styles in those we include each year in the tour. We share a passion for cultivating community bonds, serving our community in other civic and nonprofit organizations, and connecting these same organizations to the Holiday Homes Tour event as docents.

We proudly provide proceeds of the tour each year to the missions and charities sponsored by each participating organization. TWE are a part of the Herndon Cultivating Community group focused on building community through fun, community building events and recognitions. Together we are passionate about our entire community connecting and celebrating winter holiday cheer!

Message from the Co-Chairs

Dear Friends and Neighbors,

Welcome to the 2025 Holiday Homes Tour of Herndon! We’re delighted to open the doors of our town once again and invite you to experience the beauty, creativity, and community spirit that make Herndon such a special place to call home.

This year’s tour celebrates the wonderful diversity of homes—and people—that shape our town’s character. From a lovingly hand-crafted 1960s colonial rebuilt room by room, to a newly restored Dutch Colonial Revival rich with history, to a warm ranch home designed for accessibility and connection, and finally to a modern home filled with art, heritage, and international flair—each stop tells a story of family, resilience, and imagination. Together, these homes reflect what we love most about Herndon: a place where history meets innovation, where every resident adds a note to our shared holiday symphony.

As you explore, you’ll see that this tour isn’t only about architecture or décor—it’s about the heart behind every wreath, the creativity that lights every tree, and the neighbors who make this season shine. Whether you are visiting for the first time or are one of our loyal annual guests, we hope you’ll be inspired by the details, traditions, and stories within each home.

We extend heartfelt thanks to our homeowners for generously sharing their spaces, to our volunteers for their tireless enthusiasm, and to all of you for keeping the holiday spirit alive through your participation.

So bundle up, slow down, and enjoy the walk through history, art, and community. From our homes to yours, happy holidays, and thank you for celebrating Herndon with us.
